Before I became a roofing contractor, I worked as an insurance claims adjuster.

I spent years on the other side of the claims process — evaluating damage, reviewing contractor estimates, and processing homeowner claims. What I saw troubled me deeply.

I watched contractors take advantage of homeowners during their most vulnerable moments. I saw exaggerated claims, deceptive practices, and shortcuts that left families with roofs that wouldn't last. Homeowners trusted contractors to guide them through a confusing process, and too often, that trust was betrayed.

I knew there had to be a different way.

In 2012, I founded My Roofing in Cleburne, Texas with a simple mission: to be the contractor I wished existed when I was an adjuster. A contractor who educates instead of pressures. Who advocates for homeowners instead of exploiting them. Who does the job right because it's the right thing to do.

Thirteen years later, that commitment hasn't changed. We've installed nearly 1,000 roofs across Johnson County and the surrounding communities. We've built our business almost entirely through referrals — neighbors telling neighbors about a roofing company they can actually trust.

I don't knock on doors after storms. I don't chase storms across the state. I answer to my community, my family, and my faith for how I treat people when they're vulnerable.
