Why Choose My Roofing
Founded by a former insurance claims adjuster who decided homeowners deserved better.
Storm Damage Is Stressful Enough. Choosing the Wrong Contractor Shouldn't Add to It.
After a hail storm tears through Johnson County, your phone starts ringing. Trucks appear in your neighborhood. Strangers knock on your door with offers that sound too good to be true — because they often are.
Homeowners navigating storm damage face a confusing, high-stakes situation. Insurance paperwork they don't understand. Adjusters who may under-scope the damage. Contractors who pressure them into decisions before they've had time to think. The stakes are real: a bad roofing decision can mean premature failure, voided warranties, and thousands in unexpected costs down the road.
The roofing industry has a trust problem. Nationally, 96% of roofing contractors fail within 5 years. Roofing is the number one BBB-searched industry — and for good reason. Homeowners have been burned.
The thought most homeowners share: "I don't want to get this wrong."
That fear is legitimate. And it's exactly why My Roofing exists.
Meet Kevin Jones — The Contractor Who Saw the Problem From the Inside
Before Kevin Jones ever installed a roof, he worked as a Licensed Claims Adjuster for the State of Texas. He spent years on the other side of the insurance process — evaluating storm damage, reviewing contractor estimates, and processing homeowner claims.
What he saw disturbed him. Contractors exaggerating damage to inflate claims. Contractors cutting corners on installation once the check cleared. Homeowners trusting the wrong people during their most vulnerable moments, and paying for it years later when the roof failed.
Adjusters know which contractors document thoroughly and which ones guess. Kevin knew what a legitimate, properly-scoped claim looked like. He also knew what was being left on the table when homeowners didn't have an advocate in their corner.
In 2012, he founded My Roofing in Cleburne, Texas — built from the ground up to be the contractor he wished more homeowners had access to. A contractor who educates instead of pressures. Who advocates for legitimate coverage instead of gaming the system. Who does the job right because shortcuts aren't acceptable when it's someone's home.
Thirteen years later, My Roofing has installed nearly 1,000 roofs across Johnson County. The business runs almost entirely on referrals. Kevin still doesn't knock on doors after storms. He doesn't need to.

Kevin Jones is a former Licensed Claims Adjuster (State of Texas). He understands adjuster logic, scope documentation, and what insurance carriers actually require — from the inside. This is a differentiation that no amount of years in roofing can replicate.
A Clear Process. No Surprises.
Working with My Roofing is straightforward. Here's what you can expect.
Free Storm Damage Assessment
We start with a thorough, no-obligation roof inspection. We photograph damage systematically, take measurements, and document everything an insurance adjuster needs to see. We'll tell you honestly whether you have a legitimate claim — and we'll tell you just as honestly when you don't.
You'll know exactly what we found and why it matters before we recommend any next step.
Insurance Claims Advocacy & Honest Guidance
If a claim is warranted, Kevin walks you through the entire insurance process. We can attend the adjuster's inspection to ensure your roof is properly scoped. We know what adjusters look for, what they commonly miss, and how to document your damage in a way that reflects your roof's actual condition — not an inflated version of it.
If a claim isn't the right path, we'll tell you that too. Our goal is your long-term outcome, not a quick transaction.
Complete Roofing System Installation with Warranty
We install complete roofing systems — not patchwork. Every installation passes city inspection. Before our crew leaves your property, we register your manufacturer warranties and provide clear guidance on what keeps them valid.
You'll receive our 3-year workmanship warranty in addition to manufacturer coverage. We're in Cleburne. We're not going anywhere.
What Life Looks Like After Your Roof Is Done Right
Our customers don't just get a new roof. They get confidence — in the decision they made, in the process they went through, and in the contractor standing behind the work.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
You understood your options before you signed anything. No pressure. No confusion.
Installed by an experienced crew. Passed inspection. No callbacks, no patches.
Your claim was properly documented. You received what your policy entitled you to.
Your workmanship warranty is in writing. Your manufacturer warranties are registered. You know what's covered.
The next storm comes through and you don't worry. The roof does what it was built to do.
Because that's how most of our customers find us — from someone who's been through this and trusts us with their name attached.
"Kevin walked us through the entire insurance claim process step by step. His background as a claims adjuster meant he knew exactly how to document the hail damage. Our claim was handled without a single surprise."
