Our Guarantee
We stand behind every roof we install. Here's exactly what that means.
"If we recommend a claim and fail to advocate for a complete system — or workmanship fails — we make it right at no cost."
— Kevin Jones, Founder & Owner
No fine print. No excuses. No chasing us down. That's a promise.
The Integrity & Follow-Through Guarantee
What it means. What it covers. What happens if something goes wrong.
What This Guarantee Covers
When Kevin recommends filing an insurance claim, he's putting his professional reputation — and this guarantee — behind that recommendation. My Roofing commits to advocating for a complete, properly-scoped roofing system. That means:
- We document your storm damage thoroughly and honestly
- We attend adjuster inspections to ensure your roof is properly evaluated
- We identify scope items that adjusters commonly miss or under-value
- We advocate for a complete system, not just the minimum to close a claim
What "Making It Right" Means
If My Roofing recommends a claim and fails to deliver on that advocacy — or if workmanship on your installation fails during the warranty period — we return and correct the issue at no cost to you. No negotiation required. No need to escalate. We own the problem.
What This Guarantee Does Not Cover
This guarantee applies to roofing work My Roofing recommends and installs. It does not cover pre-existing damage to other areas of your home, damage from subsequent weather events beyond normal wear, or situations where a homeowner has modified the roof after installation. If you ever have a question about coverage, call us — we'll tell you straight.
3-Year Workmanship Warranty
Installation quality you can count on — and a warranty that actually means something.
What's Covered
My Roofing provides a 3-year workmanship warranty on all residential roof installations. This warranty covers failures caused by installation error — not material defect or weather events.
- Improper flashing installation that leads to leaks
- Fastener placement issues affecting shingle performance
- Ventilation installation errors
- Any workmanship failure traceable to installation quality
If a problem arises from how we installed the roof — we fix it. Period.
Why 3 Years Matters
Industry-standard workmanship warranties are often 1 year or less. Three years reflects confidence in how we work. Installation failures — when they occur with less careful contractors — typically surface within the first year or two. By year three, a properly-installed roof has been through multiple Texas storm seasons.
What You Need to Keep Your Warranty Valid
- Do not allow unapproved work to be performed on the roof
- Report issues promptly — delay can compound damage
- Keep your warranty documentation (we provide this before we leave)
Manufacturer Warranty Support
We handle the registration so your coverage is actually active from day one.
Most manufacturers offer substantial product warranties — ranging from 25 years to lifetime coverage depending on the shingle line. But these warranties are only active if they're properly registered, and they're only valid if installation was performed correctly.
Before My Roofing's crew leaves your property, we:
- Register your manufacturer warranty on your behalf
- Provide you with documentation confirming coverage details
- Walk you through what the warranty covers versus what it excludes
- Explain what actions on your part could affect coverage
Most homeowners who've had work done by other contractors have no idea whether their manufacturer warranty is active. If you're unsure about yours, contact us — we'll help you figure it out.
Common Questions About Manufacturer Warranties
Does the manufacturer warranty cover labor?
Standard manufacturer warranties cover the roofing products themselves, not labor costs associated with repair. That's what our workmanship warranty covers. Together, they provide layered protection for your roof system.
What affects manufacturer warranty validity?
Manufacturer warranties require proper installation by a qualified contractor. They can be voided by unauthorized modifications, improper ventilation, or failure to report damage within specified timeframes. We educate you on all of this before we close out your project.
Can I transfer my warranty if I sell my home?
Many manufacturer warranties are transferable to a new homeowner, which can be a genuine selling point. Transfer requirements vary by manufacturer — we'll give you the specific documentation you need for the products installed on your roof.
Why We Offer This Guarantee
Kevin Jones started My Roofing because he saw what happens when contractors don't stand behind their work. As a Licensed Claims Adjuster, he watched homeowners pay the price — sometimes years later — for decisions made by contractors who had already moved on to the next job.
A guarantee that exists only in writing is not a guarantee. Ours is backed by the fact that My Roofing is headquartered in Cleburne, Texas, where Kevin lives and works. We're not a regional franchise. We're not a traveling crew. When we say we'll be here — we mean it in the most literal sense possible.
We do not offer this guarantee as a marketing tactic. We offer it because it reflects exactly how we operate. If we do the work right — and we do — the guarantee rarely needs to be invoked. That's the point.
We've been in business since 2012. We have nearly 1,000 roofs standing across Johnson County. We have customers who've come back to us after multiple storm events because the first roof we installed held up. That track record is the real guarantee. Everything else is just paperwork.
What This Means For You
In plain language, here's what our guarantee delivers to you as a homeowner.
You don't have to worry about being wrong
If we recommend a path and it doesn't deliver what we said it would, we own the outcome. You took us at our word. That's a reasonable position for a homeowner to take, and we respect it.
Your investment is protected for three years
Installation quality is not something you can evaluate by looking at a finished roof. Our 3-year workmanship warranty means you're covered through the period when installation failures — if they were going to occur — would surface.
Your manufacturer coverage is actually active
We register your warranties before we leave. You'll know what's covered, for how long, and what you need to do to keep coverage valid. No guesswork.
You have a contractor who's still here
Warranties only matter if the company that issued them still exists. My Roofing has been in Cleburne since 2012. We plan to be here for the next storm season too — and the one after that.
